Vivienne Price

Accredited Play Therapist

BSc. (Hons) PG Dip PTUK

Having worked in education for many years, I became very involved with children in an educational, pastoral and medical basis. My ethos of working with children was to nurture them to feel happy and cared for at school, and to help them learn in whichever style suited their needs.

As a parent myself, I have many years of experience in raising three children, often with challenges of our own, and as a result I have a wealth of empathy and patience for children, parents and teachers.  Training as a Play Therapist enabled me to learn how to support children in a new, and much deeper, therapeutic way.

Having completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy with Play Therapy UK, I can be found on their Play and Creative Arts Therapists Voluntary register under Bedford:

https://www.playtherapyregister.org.uk/Search.

This was the first register for Play Therapists accredited under a Programme set up in 2012 by the Department of Health, and administered by an independent body, accountable to Parliament. This means that members of the public and employers can safely and confidently choose a Play Therapist, a Practitioner in Therapeutic Play Skills or a Filial Play Coach, belonging to a register accredited by the Professional Standards Authority, for Health and Social Care.

At present I am working in a number of Bedfordshire Schools, as well as in private practice.

I am also excited to now offer Reiki therapy, a natural healing practice which supports mental and physical health, to both adults and children, please click here for more details.
